Danish Designer Ditte Blohm conceived Focus: an interactive art installation that focuses on the interaction between two people in the present moment.
Using EEG headsets, 14 lights in the installation work as a graph that shows how focused the two participants are in the moment.
I was responsible for the firmware programming: Bluetooth 2.1 communication to Mindwave Mobile EEG headsets and DMX lighting control to two Arduinos.
The technical details are documented on hackaday and I have developed and shared the opensource Mindwave Arduino library.
I would like to thank Sophie Kravitz for her support with the Mindwave protocol.
